• Develops effective, strategic media campaigns to generate coverage in print, broadcast, and online media outlets
• Books local and national publicity in broadcast and print media, as well as bookstore tours; schedules author travel
• Schedules interviews with broadcast and print media
• Writes press releases, pitch letters with creative story angles, and other promotional materials relating to tours
• Researches and seeks out new media outlets and online publicity opportunities
  
• Develops press kits
• Reports status of publicity projects to author and publisher
• Coordinates review and excerpt lists
• Monitors tour, campaign expenses, and reports them to author
• Coordinates special events, book signings, and publication parties
• When applicable, schedules speaking engagements (talks, seminars, and workshops) for lectures, conferences, and special events at colleges, universities, hospitals, spiritual centers, and other organizations.
