Gardner Publicity

Wendy Gardner is a former Executive Editor for Hollan Publishing, Inc., a boutique book packager located in Beverly, MA, as well as a former Editor for Fair Winds Press & Quiver, both imprints of The Quayside Publishing Group, also based in Beverly, MA. Prior to living in New England, she lived in New York and worked as the Domestic Rights Manager for The Crown Publishing Group, an imprint of Random House, Inc. Previous employment also includes working for New York University Press as the Assistant to the Director and Subsidiary Rights Manager, as well as working for Sierra Club Books in San Francisco, CA for several years. 

While on maternity leave in February 2008, Wendy began working on a freelance publicity basis for a local author, and enjoyed the publicity work so much that she decided to launch Gardner Publicity. 

Wendy has strong writing skills and knowledge of media and contact methods. She is highly organized and detail oriented, and able to work both independently with a hands-on, proactive approach, as well as within a team-based environment. Wendy is professional and outgoing, and very much enjoys the interaction she has with the media, authors, and publishers on a daily basis. 

She received her BA in English Literature from Denison University, and her MA in English Literature from San Francisco State University. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors, reading, Pilates, traveling, and taking long walks. Wendy lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, her 18-month-old daughter, Willa, and two very literary cats, Poe and Edie.
